Social Responsibility

Neil attended and delivered a lecture at DentalSkipd back in February 2020. As part of our corporate social responsibility all proceeds from Neil’s lectures are donated to charity. The practice is currently supporting Solihull Academy and we have been able to donate £1500 from Neil’s fee and money collected from a raffle at the event.

Solihull Academy opened in April 2018 as an additional, alternative solution for a number of students for whommainstream education is simply not working for a range of reasons. This is not your run-of-the-mill school. Solihull Academy is a game changer for pupils in the borough who really need the game to change. With a balanced mix of academic and pastoral intervention, challenge and rigour, they have created a structured, therapeutic environment to give students in the borough a chance to truly succeed. They are creating a community that can and will change the educational futures and life chances for every student who goes to them and, thereby, change what education looks like in Solihull. We look forward to supporting them throughout the year.

At the beginning of lockdown the Teamhere at CESRC put together a collection and raised just over £650. After hearing from Luis all about the shortages of PPE and in particular the visors we were able to purchase 45 visors for Russell’s Hall hospital. Each visor came with two shields so that was 90 visors in total. We also decided to throw a few cupcakes in too! 72 to be exact. Luis distributed the visors to where they were most needed at the hospital along with the cupcakes. Each box was decorated with messages of love and appreciation for our front-line workers. We also gifted cupcakes to teams at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham to say a big thank you for all their hard work.

“After feeling very anxious prior to my appointment, I left CESRC feeling much happier and in very safe and competent hands. Every member of the team that I came into contact with were kind, reassuring and helpful. The experience of the team was obvious from the word go and I would highly recommend this practice! Thank you!”

“Another great CPD evening on occlusion last week. Keep up with the study club programme as it is a great opportunity for us GDPs to stay up to date and meet other colleagues in the profession.”
