Suspected Malignancies Vs Benign Conditions in the Oral Cavity. When to Worry? When to Refer? EXTRA DATE

Course Lecturers

Mr. Luis Bruzual.

  • Start Date: March 7, 2018
  • Duration: 6.30pm - 9pm

**As we expect demand to be high for this session, we’re opening up a second date**

Following the enormous success of Luis Bruzual’s Study Clubs last year (which had extended groups and extra dates!) he’s back with what will no doubt be another popular topic. Looking at suspected malignancies versus benign conditions in the oral cavity, Luis Bruzual will explain when to worry and when to refer. If you’re aware that you need to improve your knowledge in this area please do not hesitate to register for this session. It is free but places are limited.

The evening gives 2 hours CPD and topics to be covered on the night are:

  • Brief epidemiology of orofacial cancer in the UK
  • Identifying features of malignant and non-malignant orofacial conditions
  • Practical hands on – how to examine the oral soft tissues and understand the investigations that may be used to detect mouth cancer
  • Gain knowledge of those conditions which should be regarded as potentially malignant
  • Methods of referral for patients with suspicious orofacial lesions
  • Other non-malignant conditions in the oral cavity that can be of concern

Refreshments and a light buffet will be served on arrival. The evening is free to attend but once again, we expect it to be in high demand so please call us on 0121 478 3770 or email with your full name, GDC number and any dietary requirements.
